We went to "Heritage Park" ,North Carolina. My friend's BF told us that balloons show here and we can ride it".
We paid for parking $5 and took a service bus into the park. In fact, it was not far from parking which we could walk.
We were there at noon. The weather was nice. There were many game booths that made me think about "Temple fair " in Thailand. There were not many people when we got there.
There was a band show on stage and free ice cream. I took twice.
I played ball shooting but did not get any prize because I missed all!
We also play "a roller coaster".It was fun but a bit scared for me. Darin liked it but seat space too small for him. LOL
In the evening, a hot air balloon was set up. There were many people interested to ride on it included us. We thought the balloon will move but just go up and down. My friend 's BF said, " there were many balloons but did not know what happen only one today".
It was a good experience for me to ride a balloon.
It was lucky for us because the rain was coming at the time we were going back.
25th June 2011...We went to Ocean City, Maryland. It was my first time to play in the water at the beach. It was fun. The wave were big and water were cool that was good for a hot day. We had lunch at Phillips crab house before walked to the beach. Good food.
I offered to take "Da", a Thai friend to Washington D.C as she for the first time but I did not remember which time was mine. However, I was still lost!
It took an hour from my house to hers. I picked her up at 9 am and headed to Washington D.C.
From her house took about 3 hours.
Da prepared lunch box for us. At the end of the trip, she was complaining about walking none stop. However, she thanked me to take her there.
So good!
US Capital
2 hours later, I parked at the available space nearby US capital but it allowed for permit car. Luckily, there was a person on duty then I asked him if I could park here for a short while. He let me. We went to U.S capital and taking photos there as quick before got back to the car and change the location.
Jefferson Memorial
The men on duty at Jefferson Memorial
Refreshment!
Somebody's car in the parking lot. My friend liked it. This photo took by the car's owner who came back while I was taking my friend's photo with the car so he offered to take a photo for us.
The car's owner came back and he was kind to take a photo for us.
I do not know what are these statue but I saw many people took photos when I came here other times so I did this time too.
Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial
We drove from Jefferson Memorial and parked beside the street closed to Lincoln Memorial and walked through Lincoln Memorial. We spent time at Lincoln Memorial until 5 pm. then we agreed to go home.
Our journey did not finish yet but there was something exciting...grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I forgot to fill the gas and the indicator already show...OMG. That time traffic was bad and also heavy rain. I set GPS looked for gas station first but unfortunately the GPS told " turn left" all the time but that time was NO TURN...grrrrrrrrrrrr
I set the GPS three or four times not sure but after an hour we found the gas station. The GPS told to turn left but my friend said, the gas station was in our front in the right. OH man! I needed to go from the left last lane to the right end lane during heavy rain and many cars. Well, I did it. I fill the gas with the umbrella but still get wet because of the wind blow the rain to me.
Finally, we got back home safe at 10 pm. Anyway, my friend was fun and happy that made me happy too. If I have a chance would love to take her again to visit the places we did not go yet on this day.
